Hey there. I'm just home from Elaina's house after we spent the day together there. She was out on day pass today. For those of you who don't know what a day pass is then it's time for me to explain Elaina's situation. Now there is only some much detail I am willing to go into on a open blog webpage so I'll explain as best I can. Elaina suffers from three different mental illness. These are:
1. Borderline Personality Disorder
2. Bi-Polar syndrome
3. Anorexia
Now I'm not going to go into detail about what sort of problems these cause but basically the first two effect her mood and the third her eating habits. Make no mistake...This girl is NOT crazy. She is kind, caring, supportive and understanding. She does everything she can to help those around her. I personally think that she sometimes can care too much. She'll sacrafise her own needs for others in the blink of an eye. So as a result of these conditions shes currently in a physicatric unit to help her manage her problems. but more on that another time. This is about how my day with her went.
Well i'll be honest it didn't of to a great start. I didn't know she was going to be on day pass until 10.00am this morning (I wasn't able to get over to sleep till 7.00am) so I spoke to my mum who's house I had to stay at that night due to the actions of a drunken resident in the house I rent a room in (but, again, more on that later). So my mum and her boyfriend (My father passedaway two years ago...later) brought me over to the hospital and we arrived at about 11.15am. So in I went and she met me at the door of her ward and we went into one of the visiting rooms to wait on her older sister who was picking us up to bring us to Elaina's house. While in the ward I had an odd since of unease but I couldn't put my finger on the reason so i shrugged it off. Her sister arrived and the journey passed unremarkably. So anyways we arrived at the house and in we went, me making a bee line for the kettle, as was the custom, (Elaina is a massive tea drinker) and began to make her a cup of tea while she headed upstairs. When i arrived up I found her on her laptop which was fine (no internet access where she is and she is a total facebook addict). So i just cuddled up to her as is my way and let her work away. She said she had to print out work for university that she had missed due to staying in hospital (again understandable:- shes been in over a month). So away she went and I decided to get some sleep as i had only had 3 hours that night. So I told her to wake me when she was done. This was at about 1.30pm. I read a bit of a book im into at the minute (The wonderful life of Henry Sugar by Roald Dahl) then dozed off. I woke up suddenly as sometimes happens and decided to see were Elaina was. Still doing work. Now bearing in mind that we had limited time together and i fell asleep at 1.30pm and we had to leave at 5.45pm and she had let me sleep on to 4.00pm with out waking me sort of annoyied me. We had a talk and I decide to go for a walk and when i came back i jumped back into the bed with my book. Elaina came in about 5 minutes later and said she was sorry she got carried away with the work and I said I was sorry I complained (I guess I was just tired) So she lay beside me and we cuddled and kissed and made up. Alot more than that followed (it's been 2 weeks since had anytime alone together) but i don't believe in washing juicy linen in public so I'll let you use your imagination. Anyways all-in-all...Great Day!!
